Parent Update
September 16, 2012 (week 6-7)
I’m hoping to have
all of our recent pictures posted soon.
I’m sorry that I didn’t realize they weren’t showing up on the
blog. I know everyone is anxious to see
the picture of the lizard! We
celebrated Ms. Mallory’s birthday on Monday and Lexi’s on Thursday. We made newspaper hats to help us remember
the “at” family and owls for our new Fall bulletin board. We
also made owls for our Fun Friday snack!
This week we will
focus on:
Sight Word “my” , Word Family “op” ,
Number “13” , Shape “octagon”
Art Concepts - texture
Language Arts Concepts - Blending onsets and rimes, Concepts of print
(L-R progression, tracking words, return sweep)
Poem Five Little Squirrels
Five little squirrels
with acorns to store.
One went to sleep and then there were four!
Four little squirrels hunting acorns in a tree.
One fell down, and now there are three!
Three little squirrels wondering what to do.
One got lost, and now there are two!
Two little squirrels tossing acorns for fun.
One got tired, and now there is one!
One little squirrel playing in the sun.
He ran away, now there are none.
